Miley Cyrus Raps about Quitting Twitter

Miley Cyrus is finally speaking out about her abrupt departure from Twitter... in rap form. The 16-year-old singer tells her fans, "I had to say goodbye, and this little rap is to tell my fans why." Watch below:

On Thursday, she posted one of her final Twitter messages, saying that her new beau, 'Last Song' costar Liam Hemsworth disapproved of the site.

"Liam doesn't have a Twitter and he wants me to delete mine with good reason," she twittered.

But in the video, she asserts, he had nothing to do with it. "It wasn't because my friend told me to," she said. "I stopped living for moments and started living for people... I want my private life private. I'm living for me," she rapped.

According to a message on her official site, she deleted her Twitter because she needed a break from cyberspace.

"Twitter is not the only thing I am cutting back on. This is not an attack against this particular site, I just think kids all over the world could maybe take a little vacation from Cyberspace. My problem with the internet is it makes negativity so available. It allows people to anonymously hurt others without any consequences. That is not the real world. Not only that, but if we spent more time enjoying what we are doing besides tweeting about it, we would enjoy our lives a whole lot more. I have very little free time and the moments that I do have I should be spending with my family and friends and loving every minute of their company," she wrote.

"Now of course rumors have been started that Liam is the reason that I deleted my twitter. I hope my true fans know how stupid that is. I had mentioned to him that someone made a fake twitter with his name and we both starting chatting about how ridiculous it is. Liam is a wonderful friend and he did not try to make me delete my page, he just helped me realize how much time I was wasting on that site," she added.

Sigh... I only watched it because I saw people thought it was bad. DAMMIT! WHY DON'T I LISTEN!!?!?!?!! Also, 1:34. Ya'll sho' she 16? There ain't no church in them thar hilz. Is it wrong that that vid kinda turned me on? :/

I applaud her decision to stop using such a mind numbing service for all the reasons she stated in the video, but I would hope she learns that she should never rap again...

She is correct about cyberspacing..However, If Liam wasnt the one that made her delete her twitter, then why did she say "LIAM WANTS ME to delete mine with good reason"?? That is where she messed up. she was the one that made that rumor spread... and it was her choice to talk about her private life regardless of cyberspacers.

I am so sick of this "wanna-be"! First she's "bubblegum pop", then you see her in an Iron Maiden shirt (which is a disgrace!) and now she's rapping...she should just stay home and play with her Barbie dolls.

Good for her. I'm just so sick of the word "twitter". And then the local news channels got twitter obsessed. I was just hoping I wouldn't have to watch the entire world turn into twitter zombies before my eyes. I hope she starts a revolution and people come to their senses. Let's make Twitter history.

To those who are busy commenting about her "rapping abilities"...first off...if any of you have ever bothered to look up Miley on YouTube...her and her bestfriend have joked around doing various skits and raps...as for the comment about lip sincing...its most likely just typical delay that happens when doing any type of video via a webcam...I applaude her reasons for stepping away from Twitter...many of todays younger generation have no true social skills...because they spend more time communicating via cyberspace...cellphone texting...atc....I personally am a big fan of Miley's music...I think she has alot of talent...a beautiful voice...and I hope that her life continues in a positive direction...minus the twitterbug....
