Tell me about the video for 'Live Like We're Dying.'
It was cool because we actually shot it in the desert in L.A. in the middle of nowhere in this junkyard and we had this set, it was this huge digital clock which was really cool and it was kind of raggedy looking and we shot it from 8PM to 8AM in the morning. That was crazy, with no breaks at all. The video is really cool ... It looks great. The idea behind it is that I plug in the clock and I'm pulling the big cord through the junkyard and through all these other things and then I plug in the clock and it starts counting down to zero and there's performance stuff in there. I'm playing the guitar and playing the piano and singing, too. In the end when it hits zero, it's kind of like the song, it's like we only have so much time so we gotta do what we want to do.
How much input did you have with the whole production?
We had people submit stuff first and it was a little frustrating because I felt like people weren't getting it ... and then we were like "what if it was something like this?" and then another person came back with a great idea that with this idea it kind of intertwined with ours as well.
Did you have fun?
I did. I tried. It was so crazy because I was up all day the day before and I was trying to keep up and awake ... And then it was like singing in your loudest tones, it was ridiculous. So I tried to have a great time and I really did, it was a lot of fun. It was my first video, so I was really trying to have a great time.

This is beautiful, I am so very happy and excited right now! KRIS, you are looking hot as always!! It brought tears to my eyes. Great job to everyone that worked on this! Gorgeous bb, gorgeous!!!
So excited for Kris for debut of his music video! Amazing video with a great, inspirational song! Kris, if you are reading this, can you shoot a music video to go with every song? All your songs are really awesome!
I kind of see what you mean. I think it's a cool concept and I understand why most of the video was dark, but I think the song itself fits better in a sunnier, brighter setting. It's a great song though, and I thought the performance parts with the guitar and piano were cool..
How is he so amazing? Just pure beautiful and classy! The way his passion shows when he is playing the instruments and singing is MINDBLOWING! I love this video! And can we just say bb Kris looks GORGOUS and so natural!
What a great concept. I like the dreamlike quality and what I see as a metaphor in the junkyard setting: A place where the things of our past dreams have been abandoned. Kris starts the clock ticking on the past to end with a new day as the time runs out.
The shot of him at the highly polished piano at dawn is exquisite as is his leaving and staring into the dawn at the end.
Loved it! Was that Casey Kasem announcing the release of Kris Allen's album at the end?
his name is posted everywhere on this page, troll. your clock is ticking and you're wasting your time being disingenious and negative, and for what? pathetic.
I like Adam lambert infinity times better but actually I do like this song but I still Love Adam............................................. WHEN AMERICAN IDOL GIVES YOU KRIS ALLEN, GIVE HIM BACK AND SAY "WE WANT ADAM!"
This video page has nothing to do with anyone but Kris Allen! Why do Glamberts feel so threatened by Kris that they have to troll Kris' video page and spam about their love for someone else?? Nobody came to this page to hear or see Adam. (plain & simple)
Kris is awesome! This video was very cool. I love the way it ends with him looking into the brightness of a new day.
I am a Glambert, BUT, I am also a huge fan of Kris Allen as well. You have to realize that on the flip side, us reasonable Glamberts don't want to be roped in with the others. I'm glad Kris won. I LOVE this music video. Kris looks amazing, the concept is fantastic, and the whole thing is beautiful. Sometimes I watch I watch music videos and I think "and? that wasn't so great" but this was AWESOME!
Was this video professionally done? It is very dark and blurry. The song's OK, I kinda like it. But the video looks amateurish. I understand that it's just a preview, but I hope the finished version is not so dark and hard to focus on. People just aren't going to want to watch this.
